How often do you ship?
We ship Monday through Friday (and sometimes on Saturday), unless one of those days is observed as a postal holiday, or an event occurs which prevents a trip to the post office (which will immediately be conveyed to the buyer). Any order placed before 10:00 a.m. will be mailed the same day; otherwise, it will be mailed the following business day.
What payment methods do you accept?
At this time, we only accept payment via credit cards through Stripe. Please note that we will not accept payment via a credit card issued outside of the United States. We do not accept payment via PayPal due to their many anti-small seller policies. When paying, please do not use a gift card as they are always failed by Stripe.
The billing address you enter for the order must pass Stripe's fraud check. If your address is failed, the order will be cancelled and your money refunded.
What if I need to return an item?
For the majority of the items in our store there are no returns allowed. Such items include: (1) Anything in a factory sealed box; (2) dolls and action figures, whether in a sealed container or not; (3) any book or magazine; (4) anything tethered in an open-faced box; (5) anything that is new with tags (NWT) such as clothing and plush (stuffed) animals; and (6) anything mint on a card (such as Disney pins).
Any other item can be returned under the following conditions: Buyer must contact us no later that five (5) days after the date of receipt. If the return is due to buyer's remorse, there will be a restocking fee assessed of 20% of the original selling price. In addition, if there is any damage to the item upon its return, an amount equal to the loss of value of the item will also be deducted prior to issuing a refund. Returns based on our mistake, whether the item is significantly not as described in the listing, or an item is other than what was ordered, are always accepted.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to thoroughly read the description and review the accompanying photos before purchase.
We do not give partial refunds.
We videotape the packing of all items prior to shipping to insure there are no questions with regard to what was actually mailed to a buyer. The opening of all returned items will also be videotaped and if the item we mailed is not the item returned, we will pursue actions for mail fraud and theft with the police department.
How do I know my item has shipped?
All buyers are informed as quickly as possible that their package is on the way. They are also provided with the tracking number so they will know where their package is on the way to the buyer.
Do you ship outside the U.S.?
At this time, no. This is due to the fact that postage costs are extremely high, there is no adequate tracking once a package leaves the U.S., and the customs officials in many countries are corrupt and steal merchandise.
Are all your items authentic?
Absolutely! For 99% of items in the store I am the original owner and know the provenance of such items. As to the remaining items, they were purchased from reputable persons and/or businesses and there is no question whatsoever as to their authenticity.
Do you combine items to save on shipping costs?
Yes! Like everyone else, I don't like paying for shipping, but it's necessary when purchasing on the internet. I will always refund the unused portion of the sums paid for postage when items are shipped together. However, sometimes items can't be combined. For instance, a magazine and a book can't ship together via media mail because magazine do not quality for that service. Please note that when multiple items are valued at $40.00 or higher, the buyer is required to pay for insurance, and that cost will be deducted prior to the refund.
Why don't you offer free shipping?
For small sellers like myself, there is no such thing as "free" shipping. When you see "free" shipping in a listing from a small online seller, what it really means is "shipping combined," i.e., the price of the item has been increased to cover the cost of shipping. I prefer to separate the item price and the shipping cost, which is also helpful in refunding excess postage paid when multiple items are shipped together.
I live close to you, can I come to your house to purchase an item?
No. First, I am partially disabled and am not able to entertain people at my house. Secondly, my City Business License prohibits me from selling out of my house as I live in an area that is zoned only as residential. So even if you live in the house next to mine, you will need to receive your item via the U.S. mail.
Why don't you ship magazines by media mail?
Magazines do not qualify to be shipped as media mail. Magazines are classified as periodicals, and it would be a violation of postal regulations to ship a magazine via media mail. The easiest way to think of what qualifies for media mail shipping is if the item has an ISBN. If the item has a UPC (such as magazine), I cannot ship by media mail.
I just placed an order and it hasn't shipped; how do I cancel?
If the item hasn't shipped, I will be happy to cancel the order; just email me. Your payment will be refunded, minus the processing fee that Stripe charged me to handle the transaction (you will be provided with a screen cap of the relevant page showing the fee).
